Mission
My mission is to provide specialized individual and family counseling, to children, adolescents and adults. I want to connect with children and their families to help them heal from the inside out. I will provide consultation and supervision services and workshops. I will educate and supervise other professionals in the field of play therapy and sand tray. I want to help other professionals achieve success in working with children and families.
I offer services for children, teens and adults (as individuals or family). I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services for children as young as 3 years old.
My work with families and children is grounded in Therapeutic Powers of Play, Neuroscience, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, Contextual Family Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I studied at Rutger’s University to receive a BA in Psychology and then at Georgian Court University where I received a MA degree in Counseling Psychology and became certified as a school psychologist. I worked in the school system as a school psychologist for 7 years. I have been helping families for almost 20 years. I have been fortunate to complete my child therapy supervision with Dr. Heidi Kaduson, PH.D and have consulted with Dotti Higgins-Klein, family therapist. In addition, I have studied/trained for several years in Sandtray Therapy. I am certified in Synergetic Play Therapy and study under Lisa Dion and am EMDR Certified Consultant. I am the Past-President for the division of New Jersey Association for Creativity in Counseling and serve on the board for the World Association of Sand Therapy Professionals. My professional affiliations include the American Counseling Association, New Jersey Counseling Association, and the Association of Play Therapy.
